About Alice

Early Life

Alice was born in Ishgard to noble house of Pelletier, with a name that has been lost to the dust of time, as she was born a boy. Early on in life she got lost in Foundation and stumbled into Skysteel Manufacturing and instantly fell in love with the machinery and how it works. After that she kept trying to escape back to that place and as she grew she eventually got an apprenticeship there. Her life then revolved around turning gears and cogs. From an early age she knew she was not a boy and instead a girl and the people at Skysteel were more than happy to accept her and even help her choose the name of Alice. Alice found a love of acquiring knowledge in her early years as well, anything from making machines more efficient to how the weather worked she simply could not get enough of it. She had a sister who ran off to Gardinia, but Alice decided that her work in Skysteel Manufacturing was too important to leave.

The War

Several years after war broke out Alice packed her stuff from her work in Ishgard and went to apply in the year 1572. Her skill with machines was noticed so she got assigned in a research front to reverse engineer Garlean tech for Eorzean use and without the need of ceruleum. Unfortunately for Alice the magitek proves more difficult than the steam valves and gears she is used to, but the lead researcher, E'latru Rov, took Alice under her wing. Despite all this Alice always was on the back foot with magitek. Eventually a relationship grew between the two, but it was all too quickly torn away when Garleans came in and blew up the research facility and Alice got blown by the explosion into the ocean which is what allowed her to survive. An ancient fairy from Nym, named Iris. They got to know and trust each other and eventually Iris gave Alice a soul stone and Alice dedicated herself to searching for knowledge.

Modern Day

After learning the way of the scholars of old from sane tonberries and Iris left the ruins of the floating city with Iris for the search of the knowledge. She would do odd jobs for gil to pay for books and other supplies for her research. After her involvement in the war, she had a distaste of violence, but that didn’t stop her from taking jobs that involved killing. Once Ishgard reopened its borders, Alice managed to save enough gil to buy a small house there, which she filled with way too many books. Now when she isn't reading a book at her house, she's on the hunt for a new cafe to try. She is also a fantasia addict, so she never has one set look now.
